RE: My ID is attached. Please certify it and send it back to me by using the Actions menu "Certify Attached ID File..." option. ~Vanessa Bubjipychekettu 29.Jul.03 03:23 PM a Web browser Notes Client All ReleasesAll Platforms
I would like to know this too.
For recertification we use AdminP so there is no need for the functionality of the user sending safe copies of their ID. Worse than that the extra mail appearing in the inboxes of administrators is an hinderance.
Unfortunately for certain types of ID we have a certificate length of only three months so this prompt is appearing when it is clearly not appropriate. It was bad enough under R5 when the user recieved a warning but now that they have a button to send the recertification request many users are pressing this even though they should know this is not the process (you know what users are like).
If there is any way of disabling this warning, other than having longer certificate lengths (we should not be required to change our security policies because of an arbitrary figure chosen by Lotus/IBM), then it would be greatly appreciated.
